Job Description Summary:

AmeriCU has an exciting new, part time opportunity! We are looking for an individual to provide excellent member service through performing teller type and other financial transactions, promoting and selling products and services based on member needs, during financial center peak times. 

Some Roles and Responsibilities Include:

  • Provides courteous and professional teller service to clients and handles face-to-face banking transactions in a financial center, including but not limited to processing deposits, withdrawals, payments and balancing.  Demonstrates proficiency in performing basic, advanced and complex teller-type transactions, such as night deposits, business deposits, etc.   
  • Operates the remote teller system (RTS) or transaction station to dispense a variety of services, including but not limited to large and multiple check deposits/withdrawals, mortgage payments, inquiries, check cashing, credit card advances and payments, purchase of money orders and savings bonds and processes TT&L payments.
  • Ensures all transactions are performed correctly with care and competent service to each member
  • Follows dual control procedures in order to maintain proper security and surveillance over work station and cash drawer. Able to execute proper security procedures during robberies, forgeries or other suspicious or dangerous situations. 


  • Associates Degree in a business, finance or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Two years minimum of member service experience and/or sales background.  Must project a professional image.
  • Must have a strong desire to work in a team environment and willingness to cover other areas of the credit union as needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to cover other financial centers within the assigned region.
  • Effective customer service and problem resolution skills and the ability to maintain a high level of quality of member service standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and other PC applications.
  • Strong service, communication (oral and written), cross-selling and analytical skill.
  • Bilingual Preferred.
  • The candidate in this role must be willing to work up to 19 hours on a weekly basis.
